Past Events 2006
Wednesday, November 15th
A terrific panel of media savvy experts and an eager crowd wanting to know
the latest in new forms of technology and communications gathered at Abigail
Kirsch at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown for a lively and educational presentation
and discussion of “What’s New? What’s Hot? What’s Necessary? What’s Not?”
Keynote speaker Renee Edelman of Edelman Public Relations kicked off the
event, followed by Howard Greenstein, New York organizer of Social Media
Club; Ramon Ray, editor of smallbiztechnology.com; Jennifer Shaheen, The
Technology Therapist®; and Lena West, founder and CEO of xynoMedia
Technology. By the end of the evening, everyone was well aware of how
important new technologies—including blogs, social networks, RSS feeds and
podcasts—are to their business. To read more about the event, including
comments from speakers and attendees, check out the AWC
New Media Blog.
Tuesday,
June 27th
Delicious food, great
drinks, an intimate atmosphere—and an aura reader!—all helped to make our
“Summer and the City” event at Elite Lounge a terrific networking
opportunity! Astrologist and numerologist Hattie Parker provided a lot of
insight and conversation with her individual aura readings, while two lucky
winners won our raffles, which included a signature Diane von Furstenberg
wrap dress, courtesy of DVF and a personal fitness training session/body
evaluation, courtesy of PFX Fitness Experts of Pleasantville, NY. We also
thank everyone who donated shoes and checks towards our “Dress for Success”
campaign! It was a wonderful way to kick off the summer! |
